"tissage" is a French word meaning “weaving.” The design, which incorporates a woven-basket pattern, is simple yet impactful, adding a sense of lightness and warmth to your everyday table. Its lightweight nature makes it easy to handle and carry. Tableware that looks light at first glance is especially appealing because it’s so easy to use even in a busy daily life.
Our company, Yamaka Shoten, was founded in 1913 and celebrated its 110th anniversary last year. The tableware born from our long history is both our legacy and our treasure. From our numerous molds, we selected the Type 110, which has been used by many customers over the years. After carefully considering various factors such as design, usability, and frequency of use, we chose six items. We then added new items - a noodle bowl, rice bowl, and small bowl - to create the "HAPPY DINING" series. The colors are made with our original glazes, designed to complement various dishes and suitable for different occasions.
The "Hana-biyori" series is designed to evoke the essence of Japanese aesthetics, delicately incorporating luxurious gold accents with motifs of fireworks, sunrise, and Japanese umbrellas. The gold beautifully contrasts with the white, red, and black base colors, adding elegance to your dining table. These dishes with auspicious patterns not only enhance your home dining experience but are also recommended as gifts for celebratory occasions.
Traditional Japanese patterns that have been passed down through generations carry prayers and thoughts in each design. The "Komon" series features three types of Japanese patterns that everyone has seen at least once, redesigned to suit tableware.
